Natural and Transparent Methods
We love to share transparency with our consumers and so here is a step-by-step guide on how organic farming takes place.
The first step is crop selection. Crop is chosen according to the climate and soil conditions of the area so as to nullify the need for artificial ways to enable growing of the crop.
The soil fertility is boosted by environment friendly means:
- Mulching – Covering the soil with dead plant material to control weeds and protect the soil.
- Intercropping – Growing two annual crops together to channel soil nutrients in a proper way.
- Composting- Applying compost to land as a natural way of manuring.
- Green Manuring – Growing leguminous plant species for biomass production.
- Organic pest management – Bio-control agents are applied for organic pest management.
Encouraging positive interactions between all parts of the production system (the farm ecosystem) to enhance self-regulation of pests and diseases.
Optimizing the balance between feed production and livestock.
